It is a great pleasure to invite you to register for, participate in, exhibit at and/or make use of the sponsorship opportunities at the 44th SAPOA Convention and Exhibition, which takes place at the Durban International Convention Centre from 30 to 31 May 2012.
This is one of the highlights on the annual calendar for SAPOA members, partners and all commercial property practitioners. It is expected that approximately 1,200 delegates will attend the Convention. The exhibition, which runs during the week of the convention, is expected to attract over 80 national and international exhibitors.
A forum for interaction, networking and new insights
The SAPOA Convention and Exhibition also provides an exceptional forum for interaction within the commercial property sector and with all levels of government, as SAPOA engages with its diverse stakeholders.
The theme for the 2012 conference is TODAY AND TOMORROW. The convention committee has been hard at work preparing an exciting and stimulating programme, with many opportunities for debate and discussion, such as keynote addresses and panel discussions. An optional workshop session, Understanding Risks to Come, focusing on the drivers of investment performance and what role does income play in terms of risk and return will be part of the programme on Wednesday morning, 30 May 2012. Well-respected keynote and invited speakers will add value and enrich your experience.

Sponsor's Message – SAPOA Convention 2012
The annual South African Property Owners Association convention has become a priority on the calendar of all stakeholders in the property industry. Nedbank Corporate Property Finance’s association with SAPOA is therefore on the top of our list in terms of demonstrating our commitment to the commercial property market. This allows us, as the market leader, to play a role in bringing industry leaders together to positively impact on the property sector.
It is without doubt that 2011 has been subdued in terms of commercial property industry, and we expect this relatively low level of activity to continue for some time until economic growth and credit extension show sustained meaningful recovery.
This difficult period has however created an opportunity to apply a greater strategic approach as suggested by the focus of the 14th International Convention & Property Exhibition. We have the unique opportunity to reflect on global occurrences and therefore explore different scenarios with a view to prepare for what the future might hold.
